the one about badrul and his succulent jemput-jemput udang... (kitchen tour - episode 3)

before i go on talking about my recipe, nak cakap kat semua yang mengambil bahagian in that evolusi 2 album, that sekarang nih tengah review siapa yang bakal menang the album and makan malam eksklusif with those three wonderful guys... i will notify yang menang through email... senang kan! another thing, all these recipes bukannya nak mengurangkan pahala puasa sesiapa... just to share something with whoever yang interested... in fact, i'm so pleased that ramai yang dah cuba my recipe... something yang simple dan mudah disediakan... hope you all sukakannya...

anyway, balik rumah from work, i was a bit tired... dah lah tak pergi majlis buka puasa... sorry nisa, 2nd time our 'blind date' tak menjadi... hahahhaaa... insyaAllah, soon we will meet up, ok... balik jer rumah dah lewat, so i thought i want to eat something simple... bukak fridge, ada udang, ada taugeh... hhmmm... buat jemput-jemput udanglah... this recipe i belajar from my dad... simple sesangat tetapi sedap sungguh... but instead of letak daun kucai like my dad, i change it to taugeh... lagi sedap dan crunchy (dan tak melekat kat kerongkong macam daun kucai)... so, here's the recipe...

bahan-bahan...


chopped shallots, telur, pepper and salt...


fresh prawn, taugeh...


a mixture of normal flour and self-raising flour...

500gm udang sederhana, dipotong tiga...
300gm flour
100gm self-raising flour
10 biji bawang merah, dicincang halus
100gm taugeh
1 biji telur
semangkuk air
½ sudu lada hitam
garam secukup rasa

cara-cara...

again, it's so simple... masukkan semuanya dalam mixing bowl... mudahkan! tapi bila masukkan air tu, kacaulah sikit... make sure adunan tak terlalu keras dan tak terlalu cair... mesti pekat...


masukkan udang yang telah dipotong dalam adunan tepung...


masukkan bawang merah yang didadu halus...


masukkan taugeh...


pepper...


salt to taste...


then, one egg...


masukkan air...


kacau sehingga sebati...


gorengkan dalam minyak panas...


pastikan garing dan perang dikedua-dua belah...

final result...

you can eat it with chilli sauce or you can just eat it like that...

jemput-jemput udang, ringkas tapi sungguh sedap...

kalau taknak membazir beli makanan yang banyak kat baazar ramadhan, and if you want something quick, simple but delicious, do try this recipe... you won't regret it... selalunya i prepare this on saturday or sunday untuk minum petang... and kretortd, i'm sure you'll have all these simple ingredients kat germany kan... and to those yang rasa macam tak pandai masak pun, i think you can do this simple one... try lah...
