sometimes, all we ever need is...

there were two birthday celebrations last week. both of a person who are equally important to me in their own way. jauza, diddy and ellen's beautiful daughter, was born on the 3rd of january last year.  it was during one of the busiest period for diddy - the final stage of rehearsing 'terima kasih cinta' the musical (which we haven't got the full payment until today!), and of course it was also during his final exam for his third semester, and the most important one, ellen was in her final days of pregnancy...

nadra aryssa jauza! such a gorgeous girl, who brought so much joy to the young parents and the people around her. now, she's one year old. she dances when she heard the beats, she talks a lot *but of course no one can understand her just yet*, flashes her beautiful smiles and just warmth everyone's heart with her presence!  

another gorgeous girl who celebrated her birthday last week was misha omar.  i've known misha and her sister mimie for quite some time.  but before, i was more like a fan. things changed when diddy and misha had a show together in gelang patah, johor, back in 2008 for harian metro. i remember that day like it was yesterday.  it was the large area to perform but the sound system was not meant for it.  the singers were not able to walk away from the stage to greet the fans as the microphone could not pick up the sound. it was quite horrible, actually, because the stage was considerably far from the crowd.

but mimie brought her own sound engineer and microphone for misha, true to her standard as a songbird of malaysia, of course! the thing that struck me the most was how they were willing to share misha's rm12,000 microphone with diddy, a relatively new comer at that time. it was not something cheap like sharing a bowl of noodle or something. it was a grand gesture! when someone trusted you with their special possession, it shows how sincere they are.  i could not explain how i felt but one thing for sure, i know i can trust them. and we became close from then onwards...

so again, happy birthdays jauza and misha...
