the one about badrul and 'the american idol'...

american idol...

right after lunch on wednesday, i received a bad news! so bad that i rasa macam someone punched me on my stomach... i just throw up! everything yang i makan during lunch with two of my close friends semua keluar! i felt so sick! i wanted to scream, tapi suara tak keluar... i wanted to cry but there were no tears... the only reason yang buat i stay back dekat office pun because ada recording... i've used all my anergy that i have left in me to stay calm... and yet, the worst part is that i can't tell anyone about it! i can't talk to anybody, i can't say it out loud! the news just stab me right through my heart!

and now i'm trying my best not to think about it... because i can't do anything! not at this moment! the only thing i can do is pray! terasa macam kekosongan dalam hati... macam ada sesuatu yang hilang... but i have to be strong... i have to stay strong... the least i could do for my best friend!

to take my mind of it, i watched american idol and decided to keep myself busy by writing this entry about american idol... no! no! no! no! no! i'm not doing any reviews on american idol or anything like that... i'm not good at it! saja nak hhmmm... well, just to list down some of my favourites! ada yang i perasan from the first day of their audition, and some i just noticed it during their performances on tuesday and wednesday...


bo bice...

i tak perasan tentang bo bice in the early stage... but i thought his performance on tuesday was quite good! he knows his genre and he use it to his advantage! presence or charisma wise, takda sangat! being someone yang tahu main alat music definitely an added value... he can play guitar, piano and few other instruments... so takdalah masa nyanyi tuh key lari ker apa... suara boleh tahan and kena dengan gaya, but to be the next american idol... hhmmmmm... susah nak bayangkan...


constantine maroulis...

constantine is another 'rocker' yang made it to the top 12 lelaki... i remember him from the first stage of audition sebab dia orang buat footage konon-kononnya band members dia marah lah kat dia sebab dia join american idol... siap drummer dia baling-baling barang lagih! anyway, constantine ada charisma and his performance during the top twelve tuh pun not too bad... i'm sure ramai ler budak-budak perempuan kat amerika tuh vote kat dia kot...


anwar robinson...

now, anwar robinson is my favourite from kumpulan lelaki... ada gaya, humble dan suara yang very captivating... his rendition of andy william's moon river memang buat bulu roma meremang! i love the way he 'own' the song! gaya tersendiri... he's my favourite sejak dia audition kat washington d.c. lagih! he does have the charisma and potential to be the american idol...


nadia turner...

entah kenapa, this time around tak ramai perempuan yang 'outstanding' sejak dari mula macam previous girls like fantasia barrino, la toya london or jennifer hudson... nadia turner nih pun i ingat lebih kepada rambut dia yang macam tina turner (same last name...surprise!!!) but not so much on the voice... anyway, she does have the package, but to be the american idol, hhhmmm... not quite there yet! tapi tak tahulah kalau she will get better... still i like her...


mikalah gordon...

i believe what simon says about mikalah gordon is true! either you will love her or you will totally hate her! she reminds me of the girl yang berlakon sitcom 'the nanny' tuh... alah, yang suara dia sengau-sengau tuh, tapi i lupa nama dia... that's the reason i love her! she has the attitude! bubbly and her voice is not too bad either... but again, as the american idol, i don't know... still tak boleh nak picture her in the final... nevertheless, one of my favourite... not to win the american idol, but one of my favourite! well, you know what i mean kan...


carrie underwood...

this one is my favourite!!! carrie underwood! masa dia audition kat st. louis lagih i dah jatuh cinta kat carrie! kalau i duduk kat states, memang hari-hari i akan vote dia! sikit blur, but i love her!! beautiful voice and such a pretty face! macam reese witherspoon... tak jemu mata memandang and tak puas telinga mendengar... eventhough up until now i hanya dengar dia nyanyi country songs, but i think she can shine... she will shine... "it could have been so beautiful..."

well, macam jugak dengan akademi fantasia (waaahhh, sama taraf ker american idol dengan akademi fantasia nih?), my favourite pun boleh bertukar-tukar jugak... but at the moment, i would love to see anwar and carrie battle up in the final... anyway, this is just my stupid humble opinion... sama-sama tunggu dan lihat the first elimination round on thursday...
